Remain Faithful

​

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3:7-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

​

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.”

The Church at Philadelphia was the next church to be addressed by God. What a great commendation they received! “Thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.” Through everything, they had kept His Word and had not denied Him! Notice He did not say they had great strength! They had “a little strength”. But it was that little strength that kept them committed. May I say to you today, whatever you are facing, exercise that little strength and faith you may have, and let God do the rest for you.

​

Because of their faithfulness, God said, “I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it”. When you remain faithful to God, He will open doors for you that no man can shut.

Further said God, the agents of Satan - the wolves in sheep's clothing - who say they are Jews, will bow before you. Saints understand this. Your enemies, who are pretending to be with you and who are pretending to support you, will be revealed.

God then made another promise to the Church at Philadelphia. “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth”. In this great time of testing and trials that the whole world will face, God promises to keep and protect those who have remained faithful to His Word.

​

May the Lord find us faithful when He returns. Let us stay in His presence.
